NATURAL FOOD WASH
CLEANS FRUITS, VEGETABLES, RAW MEAT & SEAFOOD SAFELY
This incredible laboratory- tested all-natural food wash ensures your raw food is safe for consumption. It not only thoroughly cleans fruits and vegetables, but it is also the must-have cleaner for raw meat and seafood. One 750 ml bottle of this highly concentrated food wash can make over 640 liters of effective fruit and vegetable washing solution, or wash over 200 kg of raw meat and seafood.
With fruits and vegetables, use it to remove pesticides, wax, fungus, germs & bacteria (E. coli, salmonella, etc.) quickly and effectively. The Natural Food Wash’s fast-acting formula ensures vegetable nutrients are retained with minimal soaking.
With raw meat and seafood, use it to remove the dangerous germs and bacteria commonly found on meat (E. coli, salmonella, etc.). Washing the proteins with the Natural Food Wash will slow microorganism growth and increase their shelf life. Incredibly, it will also eliminate meat odors commonly found on fish or meat.
Made only with 100% natural ingredients, this synthetic-free food wash is baby and pet-safe. It can also be used to naturally remove odors in food containers, like baby feeding bottles and coffee flasks.
Fruits & Vegetables:
Fill the washing container with water and leave in the kitchen sink. Add 1 pump of Natural Food Wash to 3 liters of water. Fully submerge the fruit and vegetables for 30 seconds.
Do NOT pour the water out immediately. Add water to the container until the water overflows. Thereafter, discard the water and give the fruits and vegetables a quick rinse. They are now ready for safe consumption.
Raw Meat & Seafood:
Place the meat or seafood in a washing container in the kitchen sink. For every 1 kg of meat, massage 2 pumps of Natural Food Wash all over the meat. Carefully add water to the container and allow the meat to be fully submerged for 5 minutes. Thereafter, pour the water out, refill the container with water to rinse. Discard the water, and your raw meat and seafood is now safe.
Remove Odors in Food Containers:
Wash the food container (we recommend using the Gramp’s Asia Dish Wash.) Add 1 pump to a 1 liter-sized container. Fill the container completely with water. Give the solution (water and Natural Food Wash) a good shake or stir. Leave it alone for 10 minutes. Pour out the solution and rinse thoroughly. Your food container is now free of odor.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.
Avoid contact with eyes.

SHOULD WE CLEAN RAW MEAT & SEAFOOD?
The answer is an absolute yes. Proper washing of raw meat and seafood removes dangerous bacteria and fungus, eliminates odors, slows the growth of microorganisms, and keeps the raw meat and seafood fresher, and for longer. Although many germs and bacteria can be killed with proper cooking temperatures, certain harmful bacterial spores (e.g. listeria) can survive in high heat. When chilled meat and seafood is brought home from the store, it is advisable to wash them to ensure safety, especially in warm and humid conditions.
Traditionally, it is not uncommon to find households in Southeast Asia washing meat with salt, flour, lemongrass, and turmeric, etc. to remove the gamey or fishy odor of meat and seafood. However, there is a limit to the effectiveness of these traditional methods, nor can they remove dangerous pathogens. The Gramp’s Asia Natural Food Wash is a rare option to effectively clean away the smell and the germs and bacteria.
Safety aside, cleaning away all undesirables off raw meat and seafood means brining out and enhancing their natural taste. Using this Natural Food Wash means not needing extra seasoning to overpower any unwanted taste. Every chef at home will appreciate this.
In the United States, agencies like the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the Department of Agriculture (USDA) have advised against washing meat primarily because using an effective meat wash is not common practice in the country. Running the meat under a tap might splash harmful bacteria all over the kitchen. A simple water bath does nothing to clean meat and seafood. However, the Gramp’s Asia Natural Food Wash has been laboratory tested to remove e. coli, salmonella and other dangerous pathogens and offers a safe way to wash meat. Follow the usage instructions below and meat and seafood can be cleaned safely.
Of interest is chicken slaughter plants in the United States treats raw poultry with chlorine dioxide solution as a final wash. These same agencies declare chlorine treatment on raw chicken as safe, while the European Union has banned this production practice entirely.
